... is the alias for anno bolender (*1998) - a dance and performance artist, scholar, political educator and community organiser working between london and frankfurt. their body of work spans from stage production to community projects, published writing and event management. 

with a background in theatre, film and literature studies from goethe university, they gained the ma performative arts in social fields at the institute for social work in frankfurt, specialising in feminist theory. in 2023 they were accepted to the first cohort of the ma dance: participation, communities and activism at university of the arts london in the uk and granted their degree with the intergenerational project the cake sessions. in 2026, anno starts a phd on inclusive dance economy at london school of economs and politcal sciences / roehampton.
since 2020, they work with various target groups, centralising empowerment for marginalised groups. functioning as artistic direction and producer, they are co-founder of the collectives verwilderte fasern (queer performance art, “uncrumbling faceless:bodies”), archiv* der zärtlichkeit (interdisciplinary performance, “soft earth, unburned”) and initiated the first long-lasting mixed abled dance project called reclaiming dance in the rhine-main region (“ich, du, wir”, “i*on”). in 2024 they were granted a stipend from the socio-ecological institute for creating an environmentally informed dance practice which they have been developing since (“i don't hear bugs in the city”). 

their work is forwardly collaborative and interested in the principles of democracy, participation and social justice, implementing art as a negotiating and transmitting practice.
